Travel & LodgingSleeping Room Reservation Information | Travel Information SLEEPING ROOM RESERVATION INFORMATIONA limited-size block of rooms has been reserved at the Crowne Plaza Redondo Beach Hotel and Marina in Redondo Beach, California. To make your hotel reservations, call the Crowne Plaza at (310) 318-8888 before Wednesday, November 10, 2004. Be sure to mention that you are attending the EPA's Incident Management Academy. You also can make your reservations on-line at http://www.redondobeach.crowneplaza.com and enter Group Booking Code: QEP, along with your arrival and departure dates. If are a Priority Club rewards member, the process is even faster. Reservations on-line also must be made before Wednesday, November 10, 2004. Reserve your hotel room as early as possible to be guaranteed a room reservation at the negotiated rate of $100 per night (plus taxes, currently 10.1 percent). Please note that the hotel has agreed to offer the negotiated rate for three days before and after the training program based on room availability. EPA Headquarters will pay the lodging costs ONLY for the selected members of the Incident Management Team (IMT) Academy who have approved travel authorizations. All other travel expenses will be the responsibility of the IMT members and their regional offices. If you are not a member of the IMT, you will be responsible for all of your travel expenses, including lodging. Dining Information A guide to local dining will be available when you arrive on-site at the IMT Training Registration Desk. TRAVEL INFORMATIONThe Redondo Beach area is served by the Los Angles International airport (LAX) or the Long Beach airport (LGB). LAX is located approximately 20 minutes from the hotel and additional information about the airport is available at www.lawa.org/lax. LGB is located approximately 40 minutes from the hotel and additional information about the airport is available at www.lgb.org. Round-trip transportation to and from LAX is available from Super Shuttle. Upon arriving at the airport, proceed to the baggage claim area. After collecting baggage, proceed outside to the van stop at the outer island and contact the Super Shuttle Guest Representative. Reservations can be made by calling (800) 258-3826 but are not required. Shuttle fare is approximately $12 each way. Additional information about the shuttle is available at www.supershuttle.com/htm/cities/lax.htm. Round-trip transportation to and from the LGB is available from Super Shuttle. Upon arriving at the airport, proceed to the baggage claim area. After collecting baggage, proceed outside to the Super Shuttle desk located next to the taxi stand. Reservations need to be made by calling (800) 258-3826. Super Shuttle requires notice of cancellation 24 hours before your scheduled arrival. Shuttle fare is approximately $27 each way. Additional information about the shuttle is available at www.supershuttle.com/htm/cities/lax.htm. Taxi fare between the hotel and LAX is approximately $24 each way.
